Conservation joinery forms an important part of this work. We specialise in the repair, restoration and reproduction of traditional timber features, including windows, doors, shutters, staircases, mouldings, skirtings and other architectural details. Wherever possible, existing original materials are retained and repaired rather than replaced, preserving the building’s historic fabric and maintaining its authentic appearance.
Each project begins with a careful assessment of the existing building and its individual features. Timber is matched to the original in species, grain and profile, while traditional joints and finishes are reproduced to complement the surrounding structure.
Where replacement work is necessary, new joinery is made to reflect the proportions, detailing and craftsmanship of the original.

Amazing carpentry business. My job was low level for Rob who is a master carpenter. I was in awe of some of the work he’d previously done but I was theilled with my kitchen work surfaces and it does show that no job is too small even though I believe Town Carpentry are even designing and making Shepherds Huts!
